How can you put up a Xbox 360 to work for the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

I just bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and was hoping to use my xbox 360 with the game I downloaded the drivers for the controller on microsoft.com, however, I can not understand how to configure it to work with the game controller is a wired remote. So I do not think I need to buy any extra attatchments, my computer already recognizes as a controller.
