How to connect an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to your console

Before you can use the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with your Xbox 360, you must insert the batteries into the controller and introduce the controller to the console by wirelessly connecting the two.

Insert batteries

The wireless controller uses only the AA battery (included) with AA disposable (Not included) or the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack.

To insert batteries into the wireless controller:

1. Press the button on the top of the battery AA and pull down to remove the handle.
2. Insert two new AA (LR6) batteries with their positive (+) and negative (-) is positioned as shown on the underside of the battery. For best performance, AA rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
3. Slide the AA battery back into place on the controller and push to lock.

Important

Before boarding any aircraft or packing the wireless controller in luggage that will be recorded remove the batteries from the wireless controller. The wireless controller can radiate radio frequency (RF), much like a cell phone phone, whenever the batteries are installed.

The unit has a rechargeable battery unit inside, the size of two AA batteries. You must purchase a separate charger set that lets you charge while you play. Essentially, you plug the charger into the back of the controller - And the other end into the USB port on the front of the Xbox 360 unit. So, you play with the controller "Wired" as loads. When fully charged, you just blow up the son and continue to play.
