What should I do if my Xbox 360 does not work?

I just bought a new Xbox 360 Elite 250GB with Splinter Cell: Conviction comes with it. It seems that after playing for a while my Xbox 360 is a strange noise and when I ejected the disc, I found scratches on the disc and it has never worked since. What should I do? Please help!
