Port Forwarding on a Linksys router?

I need to open some ports on my Linksys router to connect to Xbox Live. However, I have no idea where to even start "port forwarding. Is it easy to understand guide that can help me along? I tried Linksys calling themselves, but they wanted $ 30 for something that does not seem too difficult to do myself if I had good instructions. Any help will be appreciated.
