I do not think that these will be the next big franchise. Look at their great franchises of the year last year. Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Bioshock. Not one of them is based on mythology. As the previous poster said, they tried Norse mythology with Too Human. I played the demo sucked. The franchise can not succeed in working in a lot of the mythology (and they used from multiple cultures including Norse, Arthurian, and more) Tomb Raider.
